How to host Would You Rather

01. Choose a category and round length

Choose all categories or one suited to your gathering, then pick 5, 10 or 20 questions. With all categories selected, you can also explore all 120 in one round. Questions are shuffled without repeats within the round. Host reveal mode gives you a moment to get ready before showing each question.

02. Pick the option you prefer

Players show a hand or a paper card, and the host tallies their choices using the A/B buttons. Each press adds one vote; −1 corrects a mistake. This tool does not collect individual online votes, so the host checks one vote per person. Clearing both tallies on a question requires confirmation.

03. Chat briefly, then move on

Anyone who wants to can explain their choice in one sentence. There is no need to persuade anyone or single out the less popular choice. Previous questions and their votes remain available in the review at the end of the round. You can also skip tallying and simply talk about the two options.

Ways to use it with your group

4–8 people meeting for the first time · 10 minutes

Choose five Everyday choices questions and show the screen so everyone can read it. Spend about a minute on each question and make explaining optional from the start. The host can answer first to get things moving. Use any remaining time for relaxed conversation.

A family gathering · 15 minutes

Pick ten questions from Food & tastes or Imagine this. Read the question and both choices slowly for anyone who needs help reading. Food questions are imaginary preference choices, never a task to eat or prepare something. Let anyone pass without explaining.

A short team break · 5 minutes

Choose Time together and use just a few of the five prepared questions if time is short. Do not interpret answers as work attitudes or personality assessments. Players may pass when their turn comes, and hosting or watching are welcome ways to join in.

Questions before you start

How many people can play?

Use it for a conversation between two people or for a larger gathering. Tallies are entered on one device. With a big group, ask for a show of hands for each option, count them, and enter the totals. Each choice can tally up to 999 votes.

Are there correct answers or scores?

There are no correct answers or winners. The displayed numbers are button-counted votes; the tool does not verify the number of people. Use the choices for light conversation, never to assess personality, ability or relationships.

What do printing and copying include?

They contain all questions in your selected category, with their A/B options. They do not include your round length or votes. In the print dialog, choose paper output or your browser’s Save as PDF option. Copy game link copies an address that opens the same settings screen for everyone.

Can I return to the results later?

You can expand the question and vote review immediately after the round, but there is no saved history. Reloading or closing the page clears the state. No names or account are needed, and question choices and votes are not sent to a server.
