Unse Hanjan (unsehanjan.com) is a free site made up of eleven fortune tools spanning daily fortune, Korean zodiac animals, star signs, tarot, compatibility and traditional readings, sixteen long-form guides on the background of Korean fortune culture, and an almanac page that calculates the sexagenary cycle, the 24 solar terms and lunar dates directly. Everything is usable the moment you arrive, and no screen ever asks for payment or an account.

Readings are calculated in your browser, not on a server. Raw names, full birth dates, and birth years are not transmitted to or stored on an Unse Hanjan server, placed in the address bar or share links, or included in Google Analytics or AdSense requests. Non-identifying result selections such as a star sign or card may remain in a share link; the privacy policy describes the exact scope.

Selection rules vary by tool. Daily fortunes use the input and date; weekly, monthly, and New Year fortunes use their selected period. Name compatibility gives the same result for the same names. Interactive tarot lets you choose from a shuffled deck, so drawing again can change the cards. A shared tarot result preserves the chosen cards and orientations.

Search for a quick reading and you routinely land on a page where the advertising arrives before the result, or one that demands an account and a phone verification before it will show you anything. Sites that collect something as sensitive as a birthdate rarely explain where that value goes.

So the project started with three commitments: it must be readable without an account, inputs must not be sent to a server, and the basis of the calculation must not be hidden. Not an ambitious list, but honouring all three meant implementing every calculation from scratch, and that is where the almanac engine and the 78 hand-drawn tarot cards came from.

None of this was built because we believe fortunes predict the future. But the traditions themselves, the zodiac animals, the solar terms, the lunar calendar, the five elements, seemed worth setting down accurately at least once. Keeping a light-hearted reading and the factual background behind it in the same place is the direction this site has taken.

Unse Hanjan is an independently operated service. The operator is responsible for development and content maintenance. The service does not claim professional review, accreditation, or certification.

We should also state plainly that no certified reviewer in saju or tarot is retained. That is precisely why interpretations are never presented as certainties, and why stories without a clear source are labelled as popular belief. If you spot a calculation that is wrong or a sentence that reads badly, please tell us. We check it, correct it, and update the methodology page whenever the calculation itself changes.

Email is the contact channel for errors, content corrections, and privacy inquiries. There is no fixed reply deadline, and individual fortune consultations are not offered. All tools and guides are free to use.
